Key Campaign News:
Whitman P.A.C.
Michigan Political Report October 31, 2006Former New Jersey Governor Christine Todd Whitman’s It’s My Party Too PAC announced Tuesday its campaign visit and contribution support for the following lawmakers: U.S. Rep. Vern Ehlers (R-Grand Rapids), Rep. Ed Gaffney (R-Grosse Pointe Farms), Rep. Roger Kahn (R-Saginaw Township), Rep. John Proos (R-St. Joseph), Rep. Rick Shaffer (R-Three Rivers), Rep. Lorence Wenke (R-Richland), as well as House 52nd District Republican candidate Shannon Brown and Washtenaw County Commissioner Mark Ouimet.
“These candidates and incumbents are the kinds of leaders Michigan needs – leaders who will fight for the true Republican values of fiscal restraint and local control,” Ms. Whitman said in a statement. “We have selected several candidates running for various offices because we believe in building the Republican Party from the ground up – if we are to expand the Party, we must elect strong candidates on all levels.”
