Christine Todd Whitman , former New Jersey governor and former Environmental Protection Agency administrator under the Bush administraton, is again visiting Rhode Island, this time to stump for Sen. Lincoln D. Chafee.

Tomorrow, Whitman will be the guest at a fundraiser for Chafee. The one-hour event in The Sail Loft, in Bristol, starts at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $125.

Whitman was in Rhode Island in November to promote her book, It's My Party Too, the Battle for the Heart of the GOP and the Future of America, in which she argues that the Republican Party was becoming too extreme for most Americans.
